Relax in the Country at Poverty Peak Cottage!

Stay in a fully-renovated 1890s period-style cottage on 10 acres, surrounded by rolling hills and country lanes. Pick apples fresh from the hedgerows! Pat the ponies that graze the pasture. View the kangaroos. Enjoy open fires in winter and air-conditioning in summer. Close to Daylesford, Ballarat, Buninyong and Hepburn Springs. We have local maps and tourist information on site.

Accommodation

Accommodation for a maximum of 3. Choose to stay in: one double room ("The Blue Room") or one single room ("The White Room"). Shared facilities - kitchen, toilet, bathroom - plenty of hot water for showers! Host has own quarters at one end of the house. Free use of internet and free telephone calls to landlines (but no calls to mobiles). No smoking inside. Many unique and excellent videos and DVDs for free use - all masterpieces. Excellent modern kitchen - if you like cooking and sharing, wonderful joint meals can be created together! Breakfast included and evening meal can be arranged for an additional $20 per person. Or visit the Gordon pub. Breakfast a delight, evening meals a pleasure and no doubt you will find lunch on yout travels in the surrounding countryside ... all well-catered for.

Local Attractions

The local area: On Sundays visit the markets in nearby Daylesford and Ballarat. Sample the mineral waters and baths at Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. Visit the tourist information centers in Daylesford and Ballarat for maps, suggested day-trips and other attractions.

Bookings and Important Information

$50 per person per night for accomodation, including breakfast. Evening meal can be arranged for an additional $20 per person.
